Healthy Homemade Ranch Dip (high protein)

Ranch is such a classic flavor and great on just about anything, and especially popular with my kids! The one downside for me, is the ingredient list. Since this is one of those foods my kids and I both love, I wanted to sneak in extra protein and make it with ingredients I felt good about my family eating. With this very specific list of requirements this creamy Healthy Homemade Ranch Dip (high protein) was born! It comes together in just minutes with simple ingredients you probably already have on hand. Perfect for dipping fresh veggies, chips, or even drizzling over salads.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe:
Packed with Greek yogurt to make this dip creamy and high in protein and with sour cream to bring that classic ranch flavor- this dip isn’t just easy it’s nutritious too.
.I carefully curated the spices to taste just like ranch and you’ll be able to see exactly what you’re adding in. Tweak to your own taste and dip away!
Tools You’ll Need:
- Small mixing bowl- for mixing ingredients.
- Measuring cups and spoons- for measuring ingredients.
- A whisk or spatula- to combine ranch dip.

Gather Your Ingredients:
- Greek yogurt- This is key to upping the protein for the ranch dip. I prefer full fat, but any plain Greek yogurt will work.
- Sour Cream- This adds creaminess to the ranch, and helps give that classic ranch flavor.
- Lemon juice- adds tang and flavor to the dip. You can substitute with white vinegar if you need to!
- Garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, dried parsley, dried chives- the key spices to achieving that classic ranch flavor. You can substitute for fresh dill, parsley, or chives if desired just increase the amount by about 3 times.
- Salt and pepper- balances flavors of the dip.

How to Store:
Refrigerator- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Stir before serving, as the yogurt can separate slightly.
FAQ’S:
Can I use fresh herbs instead of dried?
Absolutely. Use about 3x the amount of fresh herbs for the same flavor punch.
Can I make this ahead?
Yes, this dip tastes even better after sitting for a few hours in the fridge.
Can I turn this into dressing?
Yes! Thin this dip with buttermilk or milk to make it the consistency you desire for dressing.
